Your first project, click by click

Ten minutes, six steps, and you'll have a workspace that never makes you re-explain your business again. Pick your tool, keep this page open on your phone, and do the steps on your computer.

Step 1 of 6
Find the button
In the left sidebar, look for "Projects" and click "New project.""Projects" and click the "+" (or "New Project"). If you don't see it, you may need to be logged in on a computer rather than the app, and some free plans limit projects. That's it, you found the door most people never open.
Step 2 of 6
Name it after the job, not the tool
Call it "Marketing" (or "Client emails," or "Meal planning"). One project = one job. Resist naming it "AI things." A project named after a job invites you to use it for that job.
Step 3 of 6
Fill in the instructions box
Open the project's instructions (look for "Add instructions" or the settings icon inside the project)"Set project instructions" (in the project's knowledge panel). This is the magic box. Paste something like:
"You're my marketing assistant. I'm a [what you do] and my customers are [who]. My voice is [warm/direct/funny]. Always give me 3 options for anything creative. Never use corporate buzzwords or em dashes. Here's an example of how I write: [paste one thing you wrote]."
Two minutes of honesty in this box beats two years of re-explaining.
Step 4 of 6
Feed it your files
Add files to the project (drag them in or use "Add files") (the knowledge section takes uploads): your services and prices, your FAQ, two or three of your best posts. Anything you'd hand a new hire on day one. They stay in the project permanently, no re-attaching.
Step 5 of 6
Test drive it
Start a chat inside the project and type the laziest request you can: "caption for tomorrow." That's the whole message. Notice it already knows your business, your customers, your voice. That difference is what you just built.
Step 6 of 6
Teach it when it misses
When it gets something wrong twice, don't just correct the answer, correct the instructions. Add one line ("never use exclamation points," "busy season is May to October"). Now it's fixed forever, not just today. This one habit is the difference between a tool and an assistant.
That's the whole thing. You have a project now.

Live with this one for a week before adding more. When you're ready, the full setup is one workspace per job: One Assistant Per Job. And if you want the master context document to paste into every project's instructions, build your Business Brain File next.
